Youth Club Youth Work at The Pump provides local young people with a safe space to access dedicated support from trained and experienced youth workers in the heart of East Birmingham. The provision at The Pump allows young people to engage in important and relevant activities that are young person-led and adapted to meet the needs and experiences of each and every young person who attends. Our open access youth club runs for 3 evenings each week and all activities that are provided are have been directly requested by our members and are in place to address the needs that have been identified by our people. We have creative spaces that are available for young people to use when attending our youth club. Our Makerspace lab gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills and explore social enterprise opportunities with t-shirt printing, 3D printing and laser cutting some of the amazing pieces of equipment available to them. We also have a media space and recording studio that offer state of the art equipment and access to our artist in residence T-Roadz who provides taster sessions and studio time within the youth club setting. Activities that are available within our open access provision on a weekly basis include Cooking Music sessions DJ workshops Arts and craft Games consoles Pool and table tennis Computer suite Young leaders programme Maker Space, including T-shirt designing and 3-D printing Young people are at the heart of everything we do at The Pump, and we are constantly improving and upgrading our provision based on the needs of local young people so if there is an activity or project that you would like to see please reach out and speak to us about making it happen.
