One of the first video channels set up to document the Grime scene in the Midlands. Created by JaeCreator.

The original and longest standing urban media content provider in the Midlands, working with underground and mainstream talents across the UK and Europe.

THE BEGINNING

Jae started his journey into music from the early age of fifteen, D.J mixing, and later progressed into music production, landing his first record deal at the tender age of eighteen, with a hard hitting, UK Garage record Life that we livin featuring Jamaican artists Lady Saw and Wayne Wonder (Kronik Records, 2000). The track went on to be an underground success, selling over 10,000 units and the deal led Jae onto fresh pastures, securing a recording contract with Incentive Records in 2001. Weekend Thing was his second release, championed by Radio 1’s Dreem Team, Spoony and Timmy Magic. By 2002, Jae began to nurture his musical palette and started producing Rap music; within four years it would see him start producing records for known American underground artists, such as San Francisco’s Killa Klump, Yukmouth, Graph, and E40. This exposure, later led to a management deal with New York’s Steven Hacker, placing a number of tracks with high profile record labels.
2007-2009: STUDIO DAYS

By 2007, Jae opened his own recording studio to aspiring producers, rappers, and singers, requiring quality recording, mixing, and creative development services. This brought to fruition relationships that would later develop in the then growing UK Hip-Hop scene, with him going on to produce and self distribute the Word of Mouth mixtape series.

2009-NOW: VIDEO, AUDIO & MORE

By 2009, Jae set his sights on developing new skills within the world of video production. He bought a Canon 5D mark II with a small rig, and began shooting independent music videos. With a strong work ethic, Jae quickly propelled into the video industry, within six months, his gritty, edgy, visuals inspired by much of his past production sensibilities brought him in touch with notably the UK’s largest rapper at that time ‘Giggs’.

Jae placed a music track with Giggs, then (XL Artist) with a view to feature on his record, along with some of the UK’s biggest upcoming artists. The video was independently directed and produced by Jae, going on to generate over 650,000 views on Youtube, and was programmed by cable television’s Channel AKA.

With the underground success of the 30 Rounds track and music video, Jae was able to establish working relationships with many of the UK’s largest urban music acts, producing music videos for the likes of Lethal Bizzle (Virgin EMI), Gfrsh (Disturbing London), and K Koke (Roc Nation).
